I have lived in the Highland Lakes Area off and on for
the past 30 years. Leaving a career in Anesthesia, I returned “HOME” some
12 years ago. I have always been interested in real estate and it has served
me well as an avenue for investment. I vividly remember my grandfather, who
farmed and ranched all his life telling me: “Jenny they ain’t
makin no more land!”
Becoming a real estate broker some 10 years ago, I have
specialized in ranch and land sales, waterfront property, and commercial
development. The last three years have found me working closely with the
City of Llano to develop a new, up scale professional Real Estate Center
for the city and the surrounding Highland Lakes Area.

Betty Mitchell
Betty Mitchell comes to Llano from Houston and the Galveston
Bay area. She is a long time builder, developer and Realtor. She now lives
in a new home on the Llano River and says she wasn't born in Llano but had
the good sense to move here.
Betty was originally in the advertising business in
Houston and owned an FM radio station. She represented virtually all the
other major real estate developers and their projects including Sharpstown,
Meyerland and Westbury subdivisions.
She left advertising to join Ira Berne, a New Yorker
who was developing Westbury, a 5000 home project in Houston, which included
Westbury Square, a European Village style boutique shopping center. They
also built in New Orleans and Atlanta.
They later became involved with a public real estate
company based in New York City with projects in Dallas, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale
and Miami. Mitchell and Berne were partners in The Mitchell Company, a home
building operation in Houston building in nine neighborhoods, including Clear
Lake City and The Woodlands.
Prior to coming to Llano, Mitchell owned Marge Crumbaker
Real Estate in the Galveston Bay Area of Houston.
